Sasusaku Month

Day 21

Prompt: Cloaks

Summary: Sasuke is a vampire from a noble clan while Sakura is a powerful witch. The two cloaked creatures of the night are in a taboo romance and they soon realise that their love comes with consequences.

Notes: Idk… the prompt ‘cloaks’ just made me think of Halloween. I also prefer writing an AU as opposed to inserting my own filler in Kishi’s story. Btw ‘kohl’ is an Indian eye liner like thing that we use to ward off the evil eye and it also is supposed to improve sight. I thought it would be cool for a witch to have it.  I also added some of my ‘Indian culture’ by using a bindi as opposed to the yin seal and my Caribbean culture by using plants/plant names we use here in Trinidad. I think people might think this is more Sakura than SS but my vision demands this. Oh btw ITALICS ALONE are thoughts and “ITALICS WITH QUOTATION MARKS” are statements.

THIS IS SUPER LATE. SORRY

 😥

I know you’ll forgive me because…
because I’m beautiful.

 ; )

“I wonder why Sasuke wanted to see me so suddenly,” Sakura whispered to herself as she sailed across the moonlit sky. Sakura, perched elegantly on her besom broom, couldn’t help but feel a sense of foreboding chilling her bones as she flew over Konoha City. Her only company on this cold night was her tiny slug familiar, Katsuyu, seated at the tip of the broom. “I hope nothing is wrong, Katsuyu,” Sakura continued as she anxiously awaited the meeting with her lover.

Sasuke and Sakura have only been dating for three months but needless to say they were in love. Sakura could feel it. She didn’t care if he was a vampire, the sworn enemy of her race and neither did he. To Sakura, he was just Sasuke and she was just Sakura. Of course they fought when they discovered each other’s identity but after occasionally meeting and fighting at a stalemate for months, the two students at Senju University decided to call a truce. From their enmity was born friendship and from this friendship love had blossomed. Sakura was always attracted to the young Uchiha, even before knowing that he was a creature of the night and she had always caught his attention. Now, three months into their love, Sakura could feel a murky cloud looming over her happiness.

Mokuton Park was deadened by loneliness at this hour. The only signs of life, the croaking of frogs and the stridulating of crickets. Seated on the fine teak park bench among the freshly manicured grass and shrubbery was Sakura, now sheltered by drapes of African tulip, myrtle and pink and red poui trees which dotted the park.  Draped in her ivory satin cloak dotted with fuchsia satin stitched sakura blossoms, her protection; the symbol of her covenant with nature, life and her mastery of the pure arts, the young ‘white witch’ seemed out of place in this dreary setting, awaiting her love. As usual for her journeys in the night, Sakura was in full witch garb: her characteristic hooded cloak was married with her rose gold chain waist belt, bone white thigh highs guarded her legs and rose quartz crystals, for success in love, dangled gracefully from each ear. Kohl lined her eyes, enhancing her vision while warding off whatever evil could come her way, and an amethyst rhombus, her bindi, adorned her forehead, for strength in concentration and retention of her magical energies. Sasuke kun, please come quickly!

The Cherry Wood Armoire

Here I thought I could finally focus on updating Damned and Damask now that SasuSaku Month was over…. 😉 Well, I tried to be a diligent little SasuSaku ff-writer…but my brain went to smut / skipped ahead like a dozen chapters of D&D…then I realized I was late for dinner and drinks…heard this song while out…and this is the result. 😉 **This is a quickie / rough WIP (again, puns so intended) and hasn’t been edited!**

Prompt: lsdkfjlsdkfj… I have ADHD and can’t just simply update (where’s the fun in that??); got an anon ask for SasuSaku dirty talk; …and a belated SasuSaku Month Free Day! So there.

Rating: NC17 / so NSFW below the cut…like for real, though. **A bit (consensually!) rough.**

Her hand froze just as she was about to paint across her Cupid’s bow.

She could see Sasuke intently observing her, her reflection from the bed. It was slow at first, but the mirror showed her that damn smirk as it spread across his face.

And she couldn’t help herself, not when he was sitting there half-naked with that cocky grin of his:

“You like my lips this color, Sasuke-kun?” she asked the mirror sweetly, playing at scrutinizing the shade in her hand.

The look on his face as he nodded his approval…

Sakura couldn’t stop the little gasp she let out at his hunger: she could taste his desire across the room; she could see it reflected in the silver. She showed him a licentious smile through the glass and twisted the tube until the vermilion pigment vanished, lowering the lipstick to the cherry wood of the armoire.

“Do you really think so, Anata?”

“I know what I saw.”

“But that doesn’t mean anything.”

“I think it means something.”

“I think your opinion is being biased on your will to prove me wrong!”

“What are you two talking about?”, Sarada comes up between her arguing parents, head showing on the open door of their bedroom. Her father was sitting at the edge of their bed, his elbow supported by his knee, as he leant his face. He watched her mother walk back and forth in the side of the room, in front of the long mirror.

Sasuke could still remember like it was yesterday the first time he held Sarada in his arm.

She was crying, taking in her first breaths. On the other hand, he was crying as well, taking in the sight of his newborn daughter. He tried to stop the waterworks for it was blurring his vision, but he couldn’t find it in himself to contain it. Happiness came out from him in waves in the form of tears flowing freely down his face.

“Sasuke-kun.”

He looked up to see his wife smiling so beautifully at him. Sasuke sat beside her on the bed and she rested her head on his shoulder. Their little girl quieted down and the new parents shared a loving moment of looking at their princess. Then and there, his resolve to love and protect his family at all cost strengthened even more. He kissed his wife’s temple, a gesture full of gratitude and love he didn’t even need to utter the words for her to know it, but he still did.

“Arigatou, Sakura.”

Another night of peace was felt in Konoha. As the world sleeps, two of the neo-sannin stood by their door, not wanting to let their time together end.

“Take care of yourself, okay?” Sakura’s hand lingered on his cheeks for a moment longer before falling at her side.

“Aa, you and Sarada too.” He tried to mask the sadness in his voice, but he couldn’t hide such a thing from his wife. Letting herself be selfish even just for a moment, the kunoichi hugged her husband again. There was a certain desperation and longing with it and both burned the memory in their minds. Both knew it would be a long time before they could get as close as they are now, but neither dwelled on it too much. Sakura pulled away slowly, not wanting to let go but duty calls for it. Such was the way of life that they chose to have.

“I’ll go now.”

Just as Sasuke turned his back, a loud shrill sound echoed throughout their home.

“Papa!”

Being the legendary shinobi that he is, there is only very little that Sasuke’s senses can’t detect. As he was taking a stroll in the forest, the cloak he’s wearing fluttering with the breeze, his sharp ears detected a fight not too far from his own location: around a mile northeast. He almost, almost, didn’t want to butt in but suddenly the earth beneath him shook like that of an earthquake – or like after someone punched the ground itself.

There was only one person he knew that could have the raw strength to do that feat, and she was supposed to be staying in Konoha safe and sound.

Leaving no time to think of his actions, he rushed towards the direction of the battle. He didn’t have to tell his body to move in order to save her. No, it was pure instinct matched with a childhood habit he never really grew out of. Sakura is one of his most precious people and he’ll never forgive himself if something happens to her that he could have prevented.

The symphony of the night’s orchestra filled the serenity of the night. Two of the best shinobi of Konoha walked slowly, hands intertwined, both with tender and content smiles on their faces.

“Where are we going, Sasuke-kun?”

He turned his head towards her. “You’ll see,” he answered simply.

The duo continued their nightly stroll, enjoying each other’s company and the beauty of nature around them. Sasuke led her to a rather large oak tree on a small hill and the two decided to lie down side by side on the grassy ground. Viridian eyes glowed at the sight of the numerous stars that sparkled in the night sky.

“Whoa, this is a great view for stargazing, Sasuke-kun!” the kunoichi couldn’t help but gush excitedly. “Did you go to this place often?” She glanced at him only to see that he was already looking at her, smiling softly.

“Aa. You said you wanted to have a great view of the meteor shower, right?”

His words made her heart melt with happiness, a blush adorning her cheeks making her feelings obvious for the world to see. Sakura reached out and placed a hand on his cheek, which he quickly covered with his own warm one. “Arigatou,” she breathed.

Day 23: New Dream

Author’s Note: I wanted to post this on Sasuke’s birthday but I wanted to post everything in order so… yeah. Just need to finish 8 prompts that are halfway done and I’m praying I could finish it all before July ends~ ganbatte @ self!

For the longest time, Sasuke never celebrated his birthday.

The 23rd of July became just any other ordinary day. Since the fall of his clan, he didn’t have the urge or the will to make the day of his birth special. How can he be happy if he had no one to be with him? It only reminded him that he is all alone… only alive to kill the one whom he thought that loved him the most and avenge his family.

But he was able to celebrate it after a long while. Team 7 insisted he should. It was simple and though he will never admit it out loud, he was grateful.

When the young Uchiha left Konoha however, he made it a distant memory… something he didn’t want to indulge himself with. Bonds will only get in the way of his revenge. And after constantly fighting for years with the truth exposed to him, everything flew out of the window. Only when the war was finished did he get to finally be calm enough to think things through… and remember the day of his birth.

Though he was still on probation, it didn’t stop Naruto and Sakura from celebrating his eighteenth year in the world. It was as rowdy as when they were simply genin, and deep within Sasuke’s heart, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now, it was hard not to remember his birthday. Aside from the fact that it falls on a hot summer day, someone was always there to remind him, even days before.

Sasuke felt sleep leaving him completely upon hearing soft giggles near him. Even without opening his eyes, he knew he wasn’t alone in bed anymore. A soft smile formed on his face as the giggles became louder, accompanied with a gentle shush. Finally allowing himself to embrace the new day, mismatched orbs found obsidian and emeralds twinkling with delight at him.

“Happy birthday, Sasuke-kun!” his wife exclaimed before proceeding to sing the entire song for him, holding a cake in her hands. Their one year old daughter clapped and flailed her arms at her own will, accompanying her mother’s tune while cooing and laughing at the same time. Upon seeing her father’s sleepy face, little Sarada slapped her chubby hands on either side of his cheeks.

“Pa! P-Papa!”

Sakura paused in singing the last line to give a hearty laugh when she saw Sasuke’s eyes went wide at their princess’ rather forceful wake-up call.

“Happy birthday dear Sasuke-kun, happy birthday to you!” the kunoichi ended, holding out the cake he knew that was made specifically to match his taste. The flames on the candles danced slowly, catching their little girl’s attention. The head of the household finally joined his family in sitting upright on the large bed, taking Sarada to sit on his lap.

Sakura came closer to them. “Make a wish before you blow your candles, anata,” she reminded him.

He nodded and stared into her jade eyes for a bit longer, then looked down to see his daughter staring at him with wide onyx orbs and a cheeky grin. Closing his own soul’s windows, he reflected his own heart.

“For my dream to come true.”

Sakura’s heart wanted to burst at the sight of his husband and daughter blowing the candles’ flames in sync. Sarada clapped her hands and cooed, kicking a bit and then throwing her fists in the air while laughing. The Uchiha patriarch gave a soft chuckle of his own, stroking the little one’s head with all the fatherly love in the world. His wife placed the cake at the bedside table and just as she was about to turn and face her family, a hand shot out, grabbing her shoulders and pulling her down the bed right beside Sasuke.

She gave a small shriek in surprise that turned into giggles as she felt her husband turn his head to nuzzle her cheek. Their little girl crawled on Sasuke’s chest, cooing and laughing as if telling her parents a story. Sakura cooed back, her hand caressing the baby’s cheeks.

Sarada then lied down on her belly on top of her father, feeling comfortable, head turned sideways to face her mother. Sakura played with their princess’s hands as tranquility enveloped the family of three. Contentment flooded Sasuke’s senses in waves, thanking all the gods for giving him this second chance at life.

“What was your wish, anata?” Sakura whispered softly, twirling her index finger as their little girl tried to grasp it.

He gave one of his genuine smiles reserved only for her. “To be with you and Sarada just like this.”

She raised one questioning eyebrow at him. “Eh? But that’s too simple. You should–”

Sakura wasn’t able to finish for Sasuke already claimed her lips with his, locking in a passionate kiss. Their little moment was interrupted by a coo from their daughter. After seeing her parents share an affectionate moment, she crawled up and kissed her father on his cheeks.

“Papa!”

The medic was able to see up close how a smile formed on his face, a look of absolute happiness taking over his features as he looked at their princess. He kissed her forehead in return and their little girl wiggled her body in happiness. She then reached out towards her mama and gave her a kiss as well.

“M-Mama!”

Sakura laughed and took their baby in her arms. As mother and daughter played with each other, Sasuke looked on, his heart swelling with euphoria at seeing his family smile. The two then looked at him, both grinning widely.

“We love you, papa!” His wife proclaimed as she held Sarada’s hands up in the air.

Their princess giggled and flailed her arms around. “Papa!”

Sasuke didn’t have to look in a mirror to see how wide his smile had gotten. Another year was given to him and his heart swelled with gladness that he got to start it with the people who mean the entire world to him.

“This is what I wished for.” More than anything…more than I deserve.

There was a time when Sarada couldn’t understand the bond her parents had and she’d even questioned their love for one another. Papa was away for so long… mama was always alone.

Those were hard times for her and even after the three of them had been reunited she still hadn’t been able to grasp the entirety of how deep and true the love of the Uchiha ran. It was only after Papa had returned home for good that things truly started to become clear to her.

Papa was quiet and reserved, but Mama was easy enough to read. She was always her happiest when Papa was around, and Papa was happy too. Sarada spent a lot of time with her parents. They trained with her, taught her many things, and always made sure she was loved.

Those days were some of the happiest and most memorable of her life.

image

A new joy was born into their lives, another daughter who was named Sakuto. Sarada was fourteen at the time of her birth and though it was unexpected, she was just as elated as her parents to have a new member of their family.

Though she wasn’t a mirror image of Mama, she had her same soft, pink hair and had obtained her freckles as well. She had Papa’s eyes which contrasted beautifully against her pale skin and light-colored hair. Sarada and her parents loved Sakuto deeply, just as they loved each other and after her birth, their family was complete.

They were happy. Their bond was stronger than ever. There was so much love and affection, even if it was on the quiet side.

The more time that passed, the easier it was for Sarada to see just how much Mama and Papa cherished one another, and how much she and her sister meant to them. Papa was home most of the time, though Mama did work at the hospital almost every day.

Sarada took pride in her chores, even having dinner prepared for her family on nights when Mama was working late. She adored all the time she got to spend with her baby sister. But most of all, she loved watching her parents together.

It was unreal, how those two could just exchange a glance alone and it be so full of affection, understanding, and mutual love and respect. What really got her though, were those moments that Papa would reach out and poke Mama’s forehead.

Mama always said it was better than a kiss, and it had always been touching to Sarada; but she knew it meant so much to Mama. She would always blush and avert her eyes from Papa, and Papa would get that suggestive smirk on his lips.

Sarada hoped that one day, she could have a love as unbreakable as the one her parents shared.

Things weren’t always perfect, but they were pretty close. Mama and Papa never argued. They never got angry with each other. They were both patient and caring and always striving to have the best for her and Sakuto. Mama had finally talked Papa into accepting a prosthetic arm. It was funny seeing him get used to having two arms.

They were happy.

But their happiness wasn’t meant to last forever.

Previous prompt: Day 16 (Sparks)

“You’ve been acting weird ever since he came around.” The sound of her newly boyfriend’s voice snapped her out of her pensive thoughts.

Sakura focused on the man in front of her and instantly felt guilty at the distressed look in his sky blue eyes. His mouth was set in a frown and his whole body carried a tension that wasn’t there before. He was holding up a menu from the little café they were having lunch in, but set it down when she looked at him.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she replied dismissively not wanting to get into another argument over him.

Her boyfriend pursed his lips in displeasure at her answer. “I’m not stupid, you know, and neither is he which is why he does it on purpose.”

She was about to open her mouth to defend him, an unconscious habit of hers, but managed to stop herself. It was only natural that her new boyfriend was jealous of her previous one, she reminded herself. Sakura picked up her forgotten menu and began flipping through it, acting like she was deciding what to order. She did not need start thinking about him at a time like this, not in public where she couldn’t hide the angry tears and sobs that overwhelmed her whenever she thought of the past. Their past.

“Can we not talk about this here, please?” asked Sakura quietly. “Did you decide what you wanted to order?”

The young man observed her for a couple of seconds, taking in her glazed eyes and dark expression, before dropping the subject. Sakura was grateful he did and soon enough, she was able to push back unwanted memories and focus on the present. They ordered and chatted amicably every now and then. However, the calm was soon shattered by a loud excited cry behind her.

“Hey, Sakura-chan!”

Sakura gasped and froze in her seat, feeling her blood run cold when she instantly recognized the owner of the voice. A mop of blonde hair entered her peripheral and before she knew it, she was being enveloped in a tight, inescapable hug. The action caught her off guard and sprung up her anxiety because if he was around, then no doubt..

“You tricked me, dobe, this is not the store.”
