Author’s Note: The week’s exhaustion took a toll on me plus the cold weather caused by an incoming storm came and I just hibernated like a bear… thus I’m behind in making the prompts. The writer’s block didn’t help either and I had to get my vibe back. But I’m determined to finish the 31 oneshots for SS Month. The love for my OTP is strong ne~
Another fluff before I make my son miserable for day 7
First, she was bullied again by her mean classmates because of her forehead of course. It’s only the first week since she entered the Academy, and they’re already making her life miserable. She ran away to the forests, knowing that she could lose them here. And just as she escaped from them, she tripped over some fallen branches when she looked over her shoulder to check if she’s far away from the bullies. Now, a gash was decorating her knee, and the little girl just wants go home.
Then, she felt a drop of water on her cheeks. And another. And another one after that. Realizing the situation, she decided to go to her safe place hidden in the forest. It was much closer than her house, and she knew that she’ll be drier there. Limping her way through the forest, she managed to get into her little cave just before the downpour of rain began.
Wrapping her handkerchief around her wound, Sakura allowed some tears to fall. She didn’t know if which one was more painful, her gash or her feelings. The exhaustion came to her in waves and before she even knew it, she closed her eyes and went to a dreamless sleep.
She woke up to the sounds of crickets, and jade eyes widened when she realized that it was already dark outside.
Okaasan will kill me!
Sakura went out from her own fort and slowly went to the direction of her home. She was thankful that the rain already passed, but the night did nothing to calm her down. Clasping her hands at the hem of her shirt, she walked slowly, mindful of her wound. She tried to calm down her beating heart, eyes darting around at every sound of the night’s orchestra. Her brain took the chance to remind her of what she overhead her classmates were talking about the very same forest she’s in just this morning.
.
‘Ne, ne, did you know that there’s a white lady there? My kaasan told me that it was a woman who killed herself because her lover was cheating on her. The ghost targets girls because she’s forever hateful of her former boyfriend’s new girlfriend.’
‘And did you know that there was also a boy who was murdered there long ago? You’ll know it’s him when he asks you where his otousan is.’
‘There’s also a little girl with her pet dog who fell from a tree and died. They also push people off the trees at night so that they’ll have playmates.’
‘You can find a lot of ghosts there ne.’
.
Sakura shook her head forcefully to rid of all the tales. Unconsciously, tears formed on her eyes out of fear. As she wiped them away, she tripped on a rock and found herself face down on the ground. The pinkette froze when she heard footsteps coming towards her direction.
Someone… save me!
“Are you okay?”
Her tears stopped upon hearing the voice. A boy.
Please don’t ask where your otousan is!
She looked up to see eyes darker than midnight, concern filling it. “Are you hurt? Here,” he offered his hand out for her to take it. Sakura blinked a few times in bewilderment.
He’s not a ghost!
Gingerly, she took his hand and he helped her off the wet ground. The warmth in his hands filled her with a strange but happy feeling.
Her savior studied her profile. “You got yourself dirty. Do you have a handkerchief?”
Sakura pointed to it covering her wound from earlier. The boy made a disapproving sound and took out a towel from his body bag. With no hesitance whatsoever, he started to gently wipe the dirt and sweat off her face and arms. All the while, the little girl could feel her face heating up.
“A… ano… arigatou… um…”
“Sasuke. Uchiha Sasuke. And you?”
Jade eyes widened. So he was the famous Uchiha Sasuke, whom she heard her classmates gushing about. The prodigy. “Haruno Sakura.”
Sasuke tilted his head to the side. “You seem familiar.”
She nodded. “I’m in the Academy too, but in the other class.”
“Then you should train well, so that you won’t trip and fall again. Ninjas can’t be clumsy, right?”
“H-Hai.”
After wiping the last big spot of mud off her forearm, Sasuke was about to return the towel back inside his bag when she stopped him.
“Ano… let me wash it for you. I-It’s the least I can do to repay you.”
He shook his head. “It’s okay. Kaasan will wash it.”
“B-But…”
“And she might get angry if I can’t return her towel back to her,” Sasuke added. Understanding his reason, Sakura gave him another nod.
“Come on, let’s go. It’s already late, you know. I don’t want to miss dinner,” the Uchiha remarked. As they walked side by side, Sasuke matching her slow pace upon noting her wound, Sakura couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you out here, Uchiha-san?”
“You don’t need to call me Uchiha-san. Sasuke is enough. And I was out training with shuriken,” he replied.
Sakura blushed. “Sa-Sasuke-kun,” she began, testing his name on her lips. She rather liked it, and due to the darkness, she didn’t see how the tips of his ears turned red. He looked away, slightly flustered.
“And you?”
A sigh escaped her lips. “I was hiding… from bullies.” He frowned at that.
“You shouldn’t let them bully you,” he proclaimed.
The little girl looked down. “But… what they’re saying is true. And… I’m not… strong enough,” she admitted softly, and it was only due to Sasuke’s sharp hearing that he was able to catch it. He placed his hands on top of his head in a relaxed manner.
“Then do everything to get stronger and prove them wrong,” he announced. “If I were you I would make them wet their pants.”
Sakura giggled, and Sasuke felt the heat on his face. “Only you can do that, Sasuke-kun. No one can beat you!”
He felt pride fill his chest at her words and smirked. Not long after, they found themselves out of the forest and back at the busy streets of Konoha. Sasuke’s eyes sparkled when he saw who was leaning against a pole, looking like he was expecting them all along.
“Niisan!”
The boy rushed towards his brother, and Itachi smiled at him. “I felt your chakra there, and I was wondering how long it would take you to come out.” The elite shinobi then directed his attention to his little brother’s companion. “But now I understand. You were accompanying her?”
“Her name’s Sakura. I found her face down on the ground, Itachi-nii.”
Sakura fidgeted with her hands before speaking up. “I got lost and tripped, but Sasuke-kun helped me.”
Itachi chuckled in amusement as he noticed the two with a blush on their cheeks. Oh he’s gonna tell his mother about this later.
“Should we go with you to your house, Sakura-san?” the older Uchiha questioned, to which the little girl politely shook her head no.
“It’s okay. My home is just around the corner. I don’t want to cause you two any delay. I’m already much indebted to Sasuke-kun,” Sakura insisted.
“Are you sure?”
Jade eyes twinkled as she smiled at him. “Yes, Sasuke-kun. Thank you so much again for today,” she expressed gratefully and bowed at him. The boy looked away, not knowing what to do.
“Aa. No problem.”
After bowing to the two, the young lady turned her back to go to the direction of her house but Sasuke called out to her.
“Sakura!”
She looked back at him, “Yes, Sasuke-kun?”
“See you tomorrow.“ he chimed, a small smile on his face which she returned full force.
“Hai! See you!”
Emeralds followed the two Uchiha brothers until they turned to a corner and disappeared from her sight. Her fingers clutched her shirt, her heart racing a mile a minute while her cheeks flushed darker than her hair.
Her classmates were wrong. She didn’t found a ghost in the forest.

His thoughts turned back to the kiss. Again. It was all he could think about. The way her lips felt incredibly soft and plump against his, and the way her petite body felt against his. He hadn’t meant to kiss her so suddenly but his body moved on it’s own. They’d left the Uchiha compound shortly after in silence. A permanent blush seemed to be etched on Sakura’s cheeks as he made sure she made it home safely. He had laid awake in his own bed at Naruto’s apartment for the better part of the night. Despite the fact that he had to leave for the mission in less than three hours, sleep eluded him like the plague until he had no choice but to get up and get ready.
The mission had been simple. Escort a well-known diplomat through the border of Fire and Wind country. It had only taken three days to complete and now his team, consisting of Kiba and Akamaru, Sai and Yamato, were headed back to Konoha. At least, that had been the plan until his instincts began going haywire and alerted him of foreign chakra around them. He barely had a chance to open his mouth to warn the group when a series of explosions rocked through the forest around them.
They barely managed to escape the debris caused by the explosions when a heavy mist descended on the group. It was enough to put him on edge because even his sharingan had trouble seeing through it, meaning they were sitting ducks if they didn’t move.
“12 enemy shinobi,” Yamato informed them. His hands were touching the ground and feeling the chakra vibrations through the earth. “They have us surrounded.”
“Surrender Sasuke Uchiha and we’ll let you live,” a man’s voice broke through the thick mist. “We have old unfinished business with him.”
They frowned in confusion and glanced at Sasuke. He certainly didn’t recognize them so they must mercenaries looking for a bounty. He did rack up quite a sum in the Bingo Book. That, or he’d somehow encountered them during his time with Orochimaru. After all, he hadn’t been the most honest of shinobi for a time in his younger years.
“I’m afraid we can’t do that,” Yamato called out. “He’s a Konoha shinobi and we don’t turn over our comrades.”
Sasuke didn’t notice it at first. When his
foolish teammates barged into the Sound hideout in their misguided attempt to
heroically rescue him from the old snake, he only saw them next to each other
from a distance. Looking from above, the difference between Naruto and Sakura
wasn’t apparent, so he didn’t think much about it. On the bridge in the Land of
Iron his vision was almost gone, just like his mind, consumed by the burning
hatred, so even if the blurry pink head was a little higher than it should be,
he didn’t care.
During the final battle with Kaguya, Sasuke
managed to get through the dimensional portal just in time, swapping himself
with a discarded vest. His arm shot out to catch Sakura as she swayed on her
feet from tiredness. He was holding her up, their eyes met on an even level and
Sasuke noticed it.
Sakura was tall.
He didn’t pay it much mind though. In their
genin age the height difference between them was almost non-existent, so he was
used to it. Then he grew up and Sakura did too, it was nothing important
really. He’d rather enjoy their moment of closeness for as long as it lasted.
The next time he noticed it, he was actually
leaving the village for his journey. He was going to poke Sakura’s forehead
when he realized that he was very slightly looking up at her, his eyes on level
with her nose. Was Sakura that tall before? Sasuke glanced down in
consternation, expecting to see impractically high heels, but Sakura was
wearing flat boots. She really was taller than him. How did this happen? When?
Sakura must have read his curiosity from his
face, because she rushed with explanation. “Oh yeah, you were away for so long,
so you didn’t know about it. Naruto really freaked out when he returned from
his training with Jiraiya. I mean, I’m now the tallest girl in Konoha! Strange,
huh? I probably got the height from my dad, just like the hair. It’s a little
embarrassing. I’m taller than most guys I know,” Sakura babbled, twirling a
pink lock around her finger. A new thought dawned on her and she gave him a
slightly panicked look. “It’s-it’s not a problem to you, Sasuke-kun? We’re
almost the same height, but some guys don’t like taller girls, so-”
“It’s fine.” Sasuke reached up and tapped
her forehead, effectively stopping the waterfall of words spilling out of her
mouth. Sakura looked at him with wide eyes and he smirked. She was still so
annoying. As if something as trivial as her height could ever bother him.
“See you next time.”
Sakura blushed, then a playful grin entered
her expression. Before he could react, she leaned in and kissed his forehead in
retaliation.
“For luck,” she told him, stifling a giggle
at his momentarily dazed look. “Stay safe on your journey.”
“A-Aa,” he replied with a waver, the
tale-telling heat travelling up to his cheeks, then he swiftly turned around
and started walking. He didn’t anticipate she’d turn tables on him so easily.
The forehead poke was his very special sign of affection, but Sakura also gave
him quite a memory to remember her by. He was going to dream about those
impossibly soft lips brushing against his skin for many nights to come.
Sasuke touched his tingling forehead with a
small smile. He’d underestimated the importance of height in a relationship.
Sakura now had an obvious advantage over him and she wasn’t afraid to use it.
But Sasuke didn’t really mind. He’d just have to find some way to get back at
her when he returns.
No one said Uchiha Sasuke ever backed down
from a challenge.

Turning her head side to side, it still felt awkward to feel the ends of her hair skimming against her neck.
Passing all of the stalls, the noise of the busy festival sounded far away, as if she dunked her head under water.
The feeling was constant. Having Sasuke out of sight made it feel like her chest was collapsing in on itself and the air was thinning.
She was scared.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that if she took her eyes off of him for a moment that he would disappear.
“━kura-chan!”
Sakura paused in the middle of the street and turned. Naruto slowed down as he took his last steps to stand right next to her.
“I’ve been calling after you for a while now!”
Naruto’s face twisted into an ugly pout and Sakura sighed. She had told him she wasn’t going to attend the festival when he had tried to ask her on a date. She hoped he wouldn’t ask her about why she was out.
“I thought you were staying home tonight?”
There was a brief pause where Sakura didn’t know how to respond. If they still had the same relationship they did when they were Academy students she would have told him off and stormed away with a toss of her hair. But he was her teammate now and could be considered a friend despite his bratty attitude.
“Well now that you’re out we can at least watch the fireworks!”
Sakura smiled softly. Leave it to Naruto to stay upbeat.
But she didn’t want to see the fireworks with Naruto. She originally planned for Team Seven to go to the festival together so that even if it wasn’t a date, she could still be with Sasuke on a day that celebrated lovers.
Sasuke was in the hospital so there was no chance of a pseudo-romantic evening. She went to hang up her wish for his good health and was going to head home.

“Dr. Haruno, they need you in rooms 3 and 8,” a nurse called out to her as she rushed by.
She waved her hand in acknowledgment and made a slight detour to her office to drop off the piles of paperwork and folders in her arm. The hospital had been unusually busy all morning and with two nurses on vacation until tomorrow, she had been forced to pick up double shifts to help balance out everyone else’s workload. Tsunade had warned her not to pick up so many extra shifts, but she felt a sense of responsibility and ended up doing it anyway. She almost expected her mentor to come swooping down from her endless meetings with the medical ambassadors from the Allied Shinobi Forces and kick her out of the hospital. Literally.
Just as she was about to open the door to her office, she heard someone call her impatiently.
“Hey, Forehead!”
She turned and saw Ino practically running to her, a similar stack of papers in her own arms. The blonde looked worn out despite the warm smile she had on her face. Sakura made herself a mental note to treat her friend to a day at the hot springs as a thank you for all the work she had been doing alongside her and mostly without complaint.
“Hi, Ino-pig,” she greeted her and unlocked her office. Her arms were getting tired.
“You’re going to totally hate me, but Sasuke’s here and he needs a physical with a set of lab work that needs to be done by this afternoon,” replied Ino smiling apologetically. “Kakashi could care less when it’s done, but Tsunade insists it be done as soon as possible.”
Sakura let out a long sigh and dropped off her files on her already untidy desk. Despite the fact that Lady Tsunade was no longer Hokage, she still liked to boss people around.
“I’m swamped with rounds for the next couple of hours,” she frowned. “Why don’t one of the interns take care of it?”
She would actually be more than happy to do it. She hadn’t gotten a chance to see any of her teammates since they trained last week and it was killing her. Especially since Naruto convinced Sasuke that he should room with him for a while, so she definitely didn’t get to see him as often. She found herself with a strange fluttering in her chest whenever she had to stay away from Sasuke for too long. Not that she would ever admit it out loud. The very thought of it made her feel embarrassed at the barrage of emotions Sasuke invoked within her.
“See, everyone is still wary of Sasuke and they refuse to do it,” Ino said and plopped down on her couch. “I’d do it, but I have rounds in the kid’s wards today.”
Sakura groaned and banged her head on her desk. “Be a medic, they said. You’ll save life’s, they said.”
“Excuse me, Miss Haruno.” There was a small knock on her open door. She looked up at found one of the nurses looking hesitant and anxious.
“What is it, Aya?”
“Sasuke Uchiha is in the waiting room and wants to know if he can leave,” Aya answered.
“He wishes,” she mumbled before standing up straight and turned to Ino. “Can you check in on rooms 3 and 8 before you start your rounds?” She then turned to Aya, “Please send him to my office and I’ll take care of him, thank you.”
Aya nodded, looking relieved and left quickly.
“You so owe me for this,” Ino sighed and stood up too. However, she let out a wide grin. “There better be details later.”
“Oh Kami, out,” she ordered. She was lucky she didn’t start blushing at the implication.
“Are we really doing this?” Asked eight year old Sasuke as he watched Iruka
sensei talk with a group of his classmates at the front of the class.
He was in the middle of assigning them with their partners. Among them being that orange haired kid who sometimes sat alone in the playground near the academy. His big blue eyes were full of excitement at the chance to get to work with someone.
Unlike his partner.
Sakura Haruno, a girl he got a little annoyed at because she was so jumpy all the time, sat petrified beside him. She’d been like that ever since their teacher put them together for the day’s project. It was about measuring height distances and he and Sakura was meant to measure each other and record their heights on their scrolls.
To him, however, that was looking near impossible. He sneaked a look over at her now, noticing how she fidgeted underneath the table and looked straight ahead.
He heard himself sigh exasperateldy when she didn’t answer his earlier question.
“Did you hear me?” Sasuke growled at her. She should really pay more attention to him.
The pink-haired girl finally turned to him then, her green eyes wide with panic.
“S-sorry, Sasuke-kun. I was just thinking about how we would measure each other.”
“With rulers obviously,” answered Sasuke with a slight frown, remembering the focus of today’s lesson was about the counting tools. However, Sasuke knew Sakura was one of the smartest students in his class and felt her comment a little strange.
“You should have known that.”
“I did!” Sakura said quickly, looking flustered. Then she averted her gaze. “It’s just…”
“Alright everyone!” Called out Iruka sensei.
Sasuke forgot about Sakura for a bit to listen to their teacher, seeing that the group before him had dispersed back to their respective places.
“Iruka sensei smiled. “The tallest partner goes first.”
That meant Sasuke was to stand. He grabbed the roll of measurement on their shared table and turned to Sakura.
“I’m going to start with your head.” Said Sasuke as he stood to hover over his classmate.
The pink-haired girl didn’t move, frozen like a statue.
Tch, what a weirdo, Sasuke thought in irratation as he wrapped the measurement around her head twice.
She squeezed her eyes shut tight as he worked, blushing furiously. He stopped reading the numbers on the measurement to glare down at her.
“Why are you being so weird!?” He blurted angrily.
She almost jumped out of her chair, and opened her eyes to look up at him. The green color looked stark with the tears overlapping them.
Sasuke was surprised. “Why are you-”
“You think it’s too wide, don’t you?”
“What?”
Sakura pointed at where his finger marked the measuring tape on her forehead.
“I know how much it is, it’s too big, isn’t it?”
The devastated look in her eyes made Sasuke scowl. “Who cares? So what if it’s big? Its not a big deal.”
He wasn’t trying too cheer her up really, but he must have said something right because her whole face lit up at his words.
It did something to his heart.
“Really!?” Asked Sakura with the first bright smile he’d seen on her.
Sasuke was frozen for two seconds just staring at her before he caught himself and nodded. He blushed in embarrassment.
“Uh, yeah,” he said. Then he mumbled in an effort to save face for his sudden behavior. Not necessarily to spite her, “duh…”
Sakura didn’t hear him anyway. “Ok!” She clapped happily. “Then let’s finish so we can measure you too, Sasuke-kun!”
Sasuke wanted to feel annoyance at this suddenly bubbily girl before him, but all he did was blush a second time.

His heart was racing, fist and jaw clenched, ready to chidori the fuck anything that comes out at him. Sasuke nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard a shrill scream. In a flash, he kicked the door open, and found his wife with her hands held up to shield her face. His sharingan activated, and the sound of a thousand birds chirping filled the small room. However, before he could charge, Sakura started laughing.
Sasuke’s face contorted in confusion at the scene before him. There was a person with a white sheet and eye holes, booing at his wife. His shoulder slumped, and he deactivated his chidori and sharingan.
Why were they here again? Oh, right. Because Sakura wanted to go in the haunted house, insisting it would be fun.
Sakura patted the ghost’s head and turned around to face her husband. “There you are, Sasuke-kun. I thought I lost you.”
“You did.”
She giggled and looped her arm with his, pulling him out of the room. “Darling, did you activate your chidori?”
“Hn.”
This made her laugh. “I didn’t know you were scared of ghosts. Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.”
Sasuke rolled his eyes, and allowed himself to get dragged along through the maze. He couldn’t understand why Sakura would want to go in here. The Ninja Academy’s halls and classrooms were filled with cheap cotton cobweb displays, red lights, and smoke machines. Someone was obviously having too much fun time with making paranormal sounds that echoed through the halls thanks to the PA system speakers. Although he knew they were all actors, both shinobi and students alike, Sasuke’s heart was still racing. He knew he shouldn’t have had that Grande Black Ops Coffee without milk earlier.
Sakura leaned in closer to him and teased, “your heart is beating so fast. You really are scared, aren’t you?”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Sasuke turned his head away and continued, “I’m just palpitating. I had too much coffee.”
“Sure you are,” Sakura teased. She kept going on and on, as they went deeper into the school, following the bloody arrows, down the stairs towards the basement.
—
Sarada sighed. She couldn’t believe she fell through a trap door. Well, she wouldn’t have even fallen in if Boruto hadn’t dragged her down with him. The room was do dark, Sarada couldn’t even see her own hand inches away from her face. However, just because she couldn’t see things didn’t mean she couldn’t feel or hear. She felt Boruto’s warm and shallow breaths near her face, making heat crawl up from her neck all the way up to hear ears.
“D-did you see that?” He gasped.
“No, it’s dark, you dumbass. Stop clinging to me!” She could feel his warm hands hold on to her arm.
“S-sorry!” He immediately let go, and by the sound of his foot falls, he took two steps away from her. “It’s just really dark, and I can’t see anything. Need to make sure you don’t trip, ya know?”
Sarada scoffed. Sure. He was doing it for her. “Let’s just find the door and get out of here, okay?” Taking a few steps forward, she felt something cold touch her right ankle, and then her knee. A cold finger brushed her left shoulder. A shudder went down her spine, and she snapped, “don’t touch me like that, Boruto!”
“I… I’m not even touching you…” His voice was a few steps ahead of her. He let out a squeak, and Sarada dared to look behind her.
A pair of green, menacing eyes and maniacal laughter filled the room, causing all the hairs on her body to rise.
—-
Sakura raked her fingers through her husband’s hair, removing all the cotton cobwebs that got caught in his dark locks. She tried to keep her giggles to herself, but she couldn’t help it. He looked so irritated and all the white strands of cotton on his head made him look like an old man.
“Sakura.” The warning was all too clear in his voice.
She laughed. “It’s not that bad, Sasuke-kun! Just hold on, I’ll get it out.” Right before she could pick out the last of the cotton, a blood curdling scream filled the hall. In an instant, Sakura and Sasuke were running towards the sound, preparing themselves for anything. They were about to turn the corner, when two bodies skidded on the floor.
“Sarada!” Sakura covered her mouth in order to stop herself from screaming.
—-
Boruto held on to Sarada’s wrist and dragged her out of the room. They were being chased by an evil looking clown. He knew Sarada was afraid of them, and so he did his best to make sure she wouldn’t look back. “Hey!” he called out to her. She looked at him, the fear all too clear in her eyes. “Keep your eyes on me, alright? Don’t look back!”
He kept on running, finally being able to see some light up ahead, he was starting to recognize the hallway. The evil clown was coming in closer, and so Boruto pulled on Sarada’s wrist to make her take the lead. “Go!” He exclaimed. “I’m right behind you.”
She hesitated for a bit but ran ahead. Boruto was planning to take on the clown to give Sarada more time to run, but as soon as he looked over his shoulder and saw the ugly red nose, evil green eyes, and bloody mouth, and oh fuck was that a cleaver? He threw his chivalry out the window and picked up his pace. When he was right behind Sarada, he tripped on a loose tile, and ended up crashing into her.
They skidded on the floor for a few feet, and he blacked out for a moment. He opened his eyes and realized he landed on top of Sarada. Before he could scramble up to his feet and apologize, he was being hoisted up by his shirt. The boy screamed, expecting to see evil green eyes starting right back at him, but what he saw was far scarier.
Sasuke had picked him up with his Susanoo arm, his body was covered in purple chakra. “What do you think you’re doing with my daughter?”
“S-scaryyy!” Boruto screamed.
A/N: Not exactly the original plot I wanted but I hope you still liked it! Papasuke is obviously the scariest thing in that entire haunted house. lol

“I still can’t believe you’re back, teme!” Naruto clapped him on the back excitedly. “You’ve missed so much!”
After another meeting with Kakashi regarding his reinstatement as a full Konoha shinobi, Naruto insisted he come along and train with the rest of Team 7. An offer Kakashi insisted he shouldn’t pass up so now he was being dragged away by the blond jinchuriki and his motor mouth. Something’s never changed. As they walked by, people openly stared and whispered about his return. It used to bother him but now he was able to ignore them, except for the occasional giggling he knew was directed at him. That, that did bother him.
“So is it true?” Naruto asked, snapping him out of his thoughts.
“What?” He took one look at Naruto’s wide, smiling face and narrowed his eyes.
“That you’re staying with Sa-ku-ra-chan?”
He had half a mind to knock the smile right off his whiskered face. He could literally see the indecent thoughts rolling around in that empty brain of his and while Naruto knowing of his sleeping arrangements hardly bothered him, the way he said it was another story. He wanted Sakura, but he certainly wasn’t about to announce his intentions to the whole nosy village. One nosy blonde was enough.
“Aa,” he replied shortly and began to walk faster towards the training ground, leaving said nosy blonde behind with a semi shocked expression and mouth open.
“Well good,” Naruto surprised him by saying as soon as he caught up. “She works too much and barely takes care of herself, perhaps a roommate will be good for her. An actual good roommate.”
That last remark bothered him.
“You sound like she’s had a lot of roommates,” he retorted.
Naruto shrugged. “A couple. They were all assholes, honestly.”
He frowned. The thought of Sakura living with another person – man – made him uncomfortable. No, not uncomfortable; jealous. It made him jealous. The realization stumped him for he had never felt jealousy quite like this. A deep, possessive feeling nestled at the pit of his stomach that made him curse any man who came within proximity of the pink-haired beauty. He shook those thoughts away as they reached the training grounds. Naruto quickly made his way over to a figure sitting under a tree, drawing it seemed.
Sai, he remembered his name to be. The one who had replaced him in Team 7 after he defected.
“Hey Sai!” Naruto grinned. “Is Yamato-taichou coming?”
“Hello Dickless,” Sai greeted Naruto. “I do believe he is coming later.”
Naruto grumbled at the nickname. “Fine, what about Sakura-chan?”
Sorry! I am a few days behind for this prompt. This is my entry (the first ever in SasuSaku Month!). Post-war, blank period. Just something I think may have happened while they were travelling.

She was sure she folded and packed those properly the other day when they stopped over the little village on their way to Amegakure. Her bag was now considerably lighter as it should be it bothered her. Sasuke, being the observant man as he is, came to a halt. He knew something was up when he saw the lines between her viridian orbs.
“What’s the matter, Sakura?”, he took her wrists so she could stop fidgeting.
“Some of my things disappeared, I think.”.
He now had a little frown forming on his face as well. “Since when?”
She freed one of her hands to place the bag infront of her. When she opened it, Sasuke saw that most of its contents have disappeared. “When we did our laundry a few days ago, I knew I placed them inside my bag before going to sleep. I only noticed how light my bag was when we were about to reach Ame.”.
There was a hint of panic on her voice so he motioned for her to sit beside the tree nearby. “Do you know which ones are missing?”
“Two of my tops,” she rummaged through her bag to find what else is missing, “a cloak… and a skirt. Oh! I’m missing my Jounin uniform as well!”
Who in the world would have stolen those? A pervert? No, if it was a pervert, he’d surely go for her undergarments. Was it a thief stalking them? Probably not. She showed him the other contents of her bag but her valuables were still intact. Unsure of whatelse to think of, Sakura started packing her things once again.
“We should stop by the marketplace and get you some clothes.”, Sasuke said as he started to walk again. Kami, why is he always the calm one?
She’s starting to get crazy, thinking about her clothes and yet there he was, acting as if it was not a big deal. Why would someone take her clothes and not her purse or weapons? She walked towards where Sasuke was while trying to come up with an answer.

They arrived at Ame in the evening, shops were starting to close so he thought it was best if they find a place to rest for the night. They settled for a small inn, a few blocks away from the marketplace.
Sakura, still restless from the thought of her missing items, slumped on the futon, not even giving Sasuke a second look when he went to shower. Her normal self would have blushed if she saw him without a shirt on.
Gaaah! I am going to smash the hands of that thief!!! Shanaroooo!
She had half her mind to go back to that village and look for her clothes but she knew Sasuke would not approved. Burying her face on the pillow, she did not notice when Sasuke returned from the shower and laid on his own futon beside hers.
“Sakura, getting upset over it won’t solve anything.” He was calm and reassuring but she just can’t give it up. Why? Why take her clothes? Is someone going to use those and pretend to be her? What if it was a criminal and did awful things to the people of that village? That’s it! She really is going back there and she will break every bone of that thief, all 206 of them!
As she was about to get up, she got caught and trapped into a strong, lean, lone arm. “Stay here. We’ll get you new ones tomorrow. You may have misplaced them and thought had them plafed inside your bag.”
Onyx eyes stared into those viridian ones, giving her a knowing look that sent multiple shades of red on her face. This beautiful man, ever so calm, had his way of saying everything will be fine. With his arm around her, she started to relax and fall asleep.
Oh how she loves him so!

Bright lights danced inside the room and woke Sakura up. Her hands reached out to the futon beside her, only to find it empty.
“Sasuke-kun…” She got up, trying to adjust her bearings while she sought his chakra. “Ne, Sasuke-kun?”
His chakra was totally absent from inside the room. She wondered where he went so she decided it’s better to look for him outside. But first she had to go to the bathroom, right?
To the bathroom she went and upon entering it, a sight of red, green and black caught her attention. Did he leave last night to retrieve them? But why are there more clothes than what she lost? She held them only to find a piece of paper sticking out of what seemed like a jounin uniform.
It read:
I hope you’ll like the new ones on that stash. Went out to buy us breakfast.
Sasuke
So he bought her new ones earlier? Sasuke-kun, she thought. He may not be expressive but she sure felt how much he cares for her. Not only did he calm her last night, but he also made sure she wouldn’t be as restless as she was yesterday.
She took one of the new ones and noticed that it was not shirt, but a dress. Immediately, she undressed and changed into it. And Kami, why does it feel like it was tailored to fit her? She gazed at herself on the mirror. How did Sasuke know her size? She took another look at the clothes and suddenly, she realized that some of the clothes were the actual ones that she was missing!
Just when she was starting to feel restless once more, she heard familiar footsteps from inside the room. She had to be sure it was him so she turned her back on the mirror only to be surprised once again. Gone was the circle that normally adorned the back of her clothes. Because whatever was supposed to be there was replaced by an Uchiwa fan.

Kinda boring but I hope the ending made up for it.
